The challenge was to read a story by called Emily and come up with an idea of what the author was saying.

She hated being left – unless it was with her uncle or Becky or Sammy – that was alright. With other members of the family she hated it; she never knew what to say, what was expected. So she shut up. While others did the bragging and boasting and blurting of news, she made a little silent corner for herself and was still. So no, she didn't want to speak to the lady. She didn't want to be company – for the lady to come back. The door opened; there was a clinking of china, the chiming of a clock.
